BIT Mesra M.Tech Admissions 2012-2013


 Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Mesra Ranchi invites applications for admission to PG in various departments like Biotechnology, Computer Science, Energy Technology, Environmental Science & Engineering, Information Security, Nano-Science & Nano-Technology, New Materials & Processing Technology, Polymer Science & Technology, Remote Sensing and Scientific Computing etc.

BIT Mesra is also considered one of the best college in India for doing M.Tech. Do apply to this institute decause it has excellent infrastructure as well as good placement records. Those who are applying for CCMT 2012, do apply to BIT Mesra also.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a B.E/B.Tech/AMIE or equivalent degree in the appropriate disciplines mentioned below for the respective courses. Candidates must have a first class or minimum 60% marks in average (45% for SC/ST) in graduation. [Sponsored candidates must have minimum 55% in average (45% for SC/ ST) in graduation]. In case the examining Board does not award a class, the percentage marks in graduation will be computed as average of marks obtained in all subjects in which candidate has appeared (excluding optional subjects). Candidates should preferably be GATE qualified. Non-GATE candidates may also apply.

Application Fee:
A crossed Demand Draft for Rs.2,000/- (General) and Rs.1,200/- (SC/ST) candidates (non-refundable) in favour of “Birla Institute of Technology”, payable at Ranchi.

Last date for receipt of completed forms for M.E/M.Tech. programmes at Mesra:31 May 2012
Tentative dates for notification of schedule for Test & Interviews / Counselling: 15 June 2012
Tentative dates for Test & Interviews / Counselling for M.E. , M.Tech : 21-25 June 2012
Classes will commence from : 16 July 2012
