For PG Admissions 2012 [M.Tech. & Ph.D Programmes] for CS @ IIT Kanpur,Written test and interview will be conducted at IIT Kanpur on 7th and 8th May, 2012. Candidates are requested to make their travel reservations accordingly.

Venue: CSE Office Room No. 105, CSE Dept Bldg, IIT Kanpur

You should bring with you the following ORIGINAL certificates/documents for the purpose of verification:

1. Qualifying Degree (B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc./M.Tech./M.E.)  certificate and/or semester marksheets

2. Date of Birth proof or certificate

3. SC/ST/OBC certificate or Physical disability certificate or Sponsorship certificate (as applicable)

You have to also bring with you COPIES of all the above certificates without fail, if not submitted already along with your application. In case your last semester exam is not yet over or the resuts have not yet been declared, you may bring marksheets or grade cards of all the previous semesters whose results have been declared.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE WRITTEN TEST

The written test will consist of objective type questions - with negative marking in case of wrong answers. The syllabus will be similar to that of CS examination in GATE. Each candidate will be assigned an unique roll number at the time of written test. They must note it down carefully and write that roll number on their answer sheet.
